The swordplay responses are excellent as is the seamless transition into a shooter. Hack away with precision and pull off special moves and comboes. Red Steel 2 is the best sword fighting samurai ninja style game that I’ve seen on the Wii with a cool visual style and excellent action and weapon modifications. Although instead of completing most levels smoothly and by the books, CGR went crazy just like Bond in License to Kill… we went rogue! We slaughtered everyone without mercy including scientists in lilly white lab coats. Take that brainiac! Think you can outsmart a hail of bullets from James Bond!? GOLDENEYE from Rare for the N64 is one of the best first person shooters ever created. It has a massive single player mission, intense and exciting gameplay, smooth controls and excellent sound design. After playing this game again we can see why CGR likes Time Splitters so much… it was made by some of the same designers! Goldeneye raised the bar quite high for shooters on home consoles. No longer were FPS games just for PC gamers who clogged computer labs with Doom for days on end, now you could sit in the comfort of your own sloth-hole and shoot through the Golden Eye video game or blast your friends in multiplayer. This was before online multiplayer so you actually had to have friends in the same location… Although little more can be learned about Goldeneye after millions of people have fallen in love with this game and written volumes about it, Classic Game Room gives is a nice retro review where we recommend it to new gamers who may have missed it the first time, and challenge those who played it in 1997 to …

Deer hunting on your Nintendo Wii with x-ray vision and multiple weapons and hunting accessories optimized for arcade style shooting, that’s Cabela’s Monster Deer Hunter. Hunt monster deer (mutated I assume) and save the earth from colonization. Monster deer are not to be trifled with, which is why you shoot them. With the help of your Cyclops-vision you can spot them behind trees and waste them in a hail of gunfire. Shoot down birds and ducks with a shotgun to rack up points as well. This CGR review of Cabela’s Monster Buck Hunter shows gameplay of deerhunting video game action on the Wii. Game Play in Cabela’s Monster Buck Hunter is traditional arcade style light gun shooting mixed with an odd career mode. 24 environments and 30 animals to shoot make this a fun party game or a serious hunting game depending on what kind of person you are. The controls are a bit odd for the career mode, but the competition mode is a blast with deer and birds raining from the sky begging to be blasted. Vension anyone?

Classic Game Room HD reviews NERF N-STRIKE ELITE for Nintendo Wii, a shooter on rails arcade style game played with a Nerf-gun packing group of teenagers. That’s Nerf-tastic! Game comes packed with a Nerf blaster where the Nerf firing mechanism can be replaced by the Wii controller. Blaster has a flip-up piece of transparent red plastic that acts as the “Red Reveal” tech thing and highlights special areas on the screen to shoot.
